WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

“Our mission to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable”

Established in 1948, the World Health Organization is a special body mandated to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system and work in close collaboration with governments, NGOs and the civil society to defend everyone’s right to health by providing expertise, knowledge and medical equipment for all in need. The organization’s work covers all major areas of global health concern i.e. substantial amount of energy and resource of theirs are allocated both into pandemic preparedness and monitoring as well as into food security, substance abuse and reproductive health.

With the negative impacts of overpopulation and climate change unfolding right before our eyes, posing new threats and taking an unprecedented toll on our societies, it is more crucial than ever to have the assistance of WHO in adapting to all the new challenges which we have to face today and the next decades to come.

If you are interested in healthcare or medicine (maybe you wish to become a doctor or a nurse one day), if you care about others, or simply your goal is to make this world a better place, then WHO is the perfect committee for you!
